When life gets a bit crazy...

Life has been more than a bit crazy lately, it has been insane.

Work. Business. Family. Health. Soul.

Each area has had its own challenges over the past weeks and I have to admit, sometimes it has all seemed a bit too much. On more than one occasion I have found myself wandering around muttering ‘everything will be ok’. And the truth is, I know it will be. As the amazing Marie Forleo often says “Everything is figureoutable”.   Anyway enough of the drama, today I wanted to share a few things I have been doing to help combat the stress….

1. Meditation

Oh yes, this has been a lifesaver lately. I had let my practice slip but over the past week I have been meditating and chanting daily. If everything has seemed too much, I have taken a moment to just stop and breathe. It really does work wonders, it helps me to put things into perspective.

2. Slowing down

It may seem crazy to slow down when faced with a to-do list the size of the Eiffel Tower, but it really does work. Instead of rushing through things, if I slow down and focus on one thing at a time I really do get more done. Seriously, try it.

3. Self compassion

It can be so easy to be hard on ourselves when feeling stressed. I ave been trying to listen to what my body needs, having a nap when I need to or taking a break from work to do something completely unconnected to my to-do list.

And as stressful as things seem, I know that it means change is happening and that is good. A new adventure is on the horizon. Yes.
