How to use Essential Oils
You might have noticed there is a lot of talk about Essential Oils right now, and for good reason. Essential Oils are a gift from mama nature - they have changed my life and wellness in so many ways. But with so much information out there, the world of natural health solutions can be confusing. Today I'm sharing what Essential Oils are and how you can get started using them.
What is an Essential Oil?
Essential oils are natural, pure extracts from plants. They have been used throughout history for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits.
As essential oils are highly concentrated (around 50-70 x more powerful than herbs), a little goes a long way and they are a safe, affordable, effective and natural alternative to synthetic remedies. They can be used as single essential oils or in complex essential oil blends depending on your specific needs.
Chances are you are already familiar with, and maybe even using essential oils - in your skincare, cleaning products, medicine cabinet, food. Think Lavender. Tea Tree. Lemon. Peppermint.
Why should I consider using them?
We are living in an age where more people are waking up to holistic wellness. We are more conscious than ever about what we are putting on and in our body. I believe wholeheartedly in the importance of taking charge of our own wellbeing, and making empowered choices about our lifestyle and the products we use to support us.
Nature was man's first medicine and throughout history natural solutions have sustained health and wellness. So why are people turning back to Essential Oils now?
1. They are natural - Not all Essential Oils are equal (many contain fillers and synthetics) but Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade oils are a completely natural health solution.

How do I use them?
There are 3 ways essential oils can be used safely:
Apply to bottoms of feet or affected areas to target specific areas of need.
Breathe in or diffuse to open airways, boost mood and purify the air.
For Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade Oils you can put a drop into water or a capsule to support mouth, throat, digestive and overall health.
Due to their potency and differing qualities of each oil, it’s important to ensure that you are aware of the correct usage for individual oils. Also, when using with children or on sensitive skin essential oils should be diluted with a carrier oil before applying topically.
Personally, I use essential oils for everything! - Cooking, skincare, diffusing , to soothe aches and tension, to boost my emotional wellness, to help calm anxiety, in my cleaning products, and even for my dogs.
